Perspective

This was a quick painting in pastel created after driving to the top of Sawtelle Peak in Island Park. There are so many small lakes that you can see up there. I have driven through that area many, many times and had no idea. I stood there with my arms wide open, sun on my face, wind in my hair and I felt so good! It got me thinking that there are situations where we are in the trees and have no idea the potential blessings all around us until we get some perspective. It's like a climb--life--and then the enlightenment--Jesus Christ--where we finally see what's actually around us.
